11/11/2023 0 Comments C920e![]() My only complaint is that the cord on the C920e is about a foot shorter than the old C930e. Audio quality is more important to me than video quality, so I use a headset with a good mic. I haven't tried the microphones, and probably won't. It was a bit stiff at first, such that I'd knock the camera out of alignment when flipping the cover open, but a drop of WD-40 fixed that. This was a must-have for me, and it works great. Like it's predecessor, this camera includes a physical cover to block the lens when not in use. (And, as expected, the field-of-view is better suited to a single person seated at a desk.) It's more than what I need, but is well worth the price. The picture quality is MUCH better - tremendously sharper, and with better color balance. I use the quotes because technically the C920e is a downgrade from the C930e, but things have improved so much since I bought the old C930e that the current C920e indeed turned out to be an upgrade. I am loathe to replace something that isn't broken, but considering the number of hours I spend in video meetings each day - and that these meetings have largely replaced in-person time with my customers - I finally decided to "upgrade" to a camera with a standard field-of-view so I would look more normal on-screen. I initially bought the C930e because of the wide angle lens, but quickly realized that 1) it just showed a bunch of distracting stuff in the background of my office, and 2) it slightly distorted everything, as wide angle lenses tend to do. This C920e is better in most ways, but worse in one. ![]() I bought this to replace an older Logitech C930e that I've been using for the past six years.
